Accessing Online File Folder
From Your Desktop using Web Folders (WebDAV)
You can create a folder link between your desktop and
Online File Folder that gives you easy file and folder access to Online
File Folder content. You navigate through the files using Windows
Explorer, and you can copy, move, delete, and create folders through the
interface. Online File Folder access is supported on Windows
98/2000/NT/ME/XP.
To Create a Folder Link Using Internet Explorer
- In the upper right corner of the Online File Folder
interface, click Open as Web Folder. Your Online File
Folder opens as a Web Folder in Windows Explorer.
To Create a Folder Link Using Another Browser
- Right-click the Start button, and
then click Explore.
- On the left pane of the Windows Explorer
window, right-click My Network Places, and then click
Open.
- On the left pane of the My Network Places
window, click Add a network place.
NOTE:
If the left pane does not display, you may need to expand the My Network
Places window. Using your mouse, hover the pointer over the bottom-right
corner of the window until the pointer changes to a double-sided arrow.
Click the left mouse button and drag the window to the desired size.
- In the Add Network Place window,
click Next.
- On the Where do you want screen,
click Choose another network location, and then click
Next.
- On the What is the address screen,
in the Internet or network address field, type
http://www.onlinefilefolder.com/webdav/index.php/your_user_name/,
and then click Next.
A log on window displays.

NOTE:
You must change "your_user_name" in the step above, to your actual user
name when entering your Internet or network address.
- In the User name and
Password fields, type your user name and password, and click
OK.
- On the What do you want to name
screen, in the Type a name for this network place
field, enter the name you want to use to identify the folder, and then
click Next.
- Click Finish.
On some computers, the log on window displays again. You can enter your
user name and password to access te folder.
To Access the Online File Folder from Windows Explorer
- Right-click the Start button, and
then click Explore.
- On the left pane of the Windows Explorer
window, expand the My Network Places options by
clicking the +.
- Under The Internet, click the Web
Folder with your Online File Folder user name.
The list of files displays in the right pane of the Windows Explorer
window.
